Scoot Airlines – is Singapore Airlines’s long-haul budget carrier, based in Changi Airport Terminal 2 and will begin operations by April 2012. Scoot has announced to be the first budget airlines to fly non-stop from Singapore to Sydney in June 2012 daily. Recently, Scoot Airlines also has revealed it will run five direct flights weekly from Singapore to Gold Coast from June 2012 onwards.

Scoot Airlines to Sydney

Travellers are hoping that Scoot’s direct flight from Singapore to Sydney will hit hard on its competitors Jetstar and AirAsia X. Currently, Jetstar operating a Singapore to Sydney route with a stopover at Melbourne while AirAsia X flies to Sydney with a stopover at Kuala Lumpur. Between Jetstar and AirAsia X, the latter offers cheaper 2-way airfares from Singapore to Sydney. In fact, AirAisa X is one of the airlines that offers really cheap ticket from Singapore to Sydney.

  • Jetstar – from S$890
  • AirAsia X – from S$644

Scoot Airlines Website – Flyscoot.com

Scoot Air is building an image of fun, unconventional like calling its official website: flyscoot.com. So do not be mistakenly by those websites named scootairlines.com or scootair.com as the official Scoot Airlines website. Let’s hope Scoot Airlines airfares are equally ‘unconventional’ & ‘encouraging’ (meaning cheap) so that everyone can experience new places, meet new people.

Scoot Airlines Airfares

It has been announced that Scoot Airlines airfares are supposedly 40% cheaper than a full-serviced carrier and tickets will start selling from March 2012 onwards. If Singapore Airlines (SIA) special fares to Sydney are selling at S$888 (2-way all-inclusive), can we expect Scoot air tickets to Sydney to be at least 30% cheaper at around S$620?

Well, we will know when Scoot Airlines announces its airfares promotion in March and I hope the offer will be so irresistible that I must grab a cheap ticket to Sydney or Gold Coast.
