SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Rain across the valley and foothills put a damper on some events and plans, but made others more temperate than usual
Chalk it Up in Fremont Park was in full swing on Monday with clouds bunching together overhead.
“I’ve roasted before, so this is much more preferable actually.”
But drops from those clouds were what many were hoping to avoid so they could catch a glimpse of the chalk art on the sidewalk.
“I wanted to see it before it got destroyed by the rain.”
For the artists, it was nice to be out of the hot sun, but the rain did pose a problem of washing their hard work away.
“I’m trying to start early—get this done before. If it does rain, I want to at least be done,” said artist Dylan Shinn.
