Toronto Police seek help ID’ing man accused of Queen West restaurant sexual assault

National Post | News

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Queen West restaurant Tuesday afternoon.

The assault, which allegedly took place at 2:50 p.m. near Queen and Portland, came to a stop after the 23-year-old woman raised her voice to confront the suspect. Police say the commotion alerted multiple witnesses at the restaurant to the assault.

The suspect fled the scene.

He is described a black man between 20 and 30 years of age. The six-foot-tall suspect is believed to weigh 200 pounds, and has short dark hair and brown eyes. He was allegedly wearing baggy clothes as well as a blue and white flat-brimmed baseball hat at the time of the alleged assault.

Anyone with information about the investigation can contact police at 416-808-1400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
