FOLSOM (CBS13) — Parents in the Folsom Cordova School District can stay in the loop with their children’s schools with a smartphone app.
The app allows parents and students to check grades in real time, as well as school news and lunch schedules.
The district surveyed more than 4,000 people and found more than 77 percent of those surveyed wanted an app.
“I look at this as a new evolution in school communicatoin, because our parents are becoming more and more demanding when it comes to connectivity,” said district spokesman Stephen Nichols.
The district hopes it will be an easy way to get out information under any circumstance, including emergencies.
